eCommerce Services

eCommerce serves as an integral solution for pretty much any business that wants to sell products or services online. eCommerce is much more than placing a catalogue of products for purchase online. It encompasses practicality, security, functionality, server availability, disaster recovery plans and more.

That’s where we come in. We use the best that Open Source software has to offer and ensure our servers are configured to best work with your solutions. In addition to basic ecommerce packages, we also provide full CRM (Customer Relationship Management) solutions that help support your online sales.

We even provide marketing packages that help promote your business, such as newsletters, email, survey systems, blogging, social network integration, video streaming and much more.

To effectively manage your ecommerce site and aid you in making the best decisions, we provide a full range of web metric services, among the most commonly requested are Awstats (which directly analyze your server log files) and Google Analytics (which uses javascript to send data to your Google Analytics account). We recommend using both tools so as to get a picture as there are aspects the Google Analytics covers but Awstats does not, and vica versa.

Inevitably we’re often asked “What statistics should we track for our ecommerce site?

Honestly, that’s a very subjective question, as it depends on your strategies and goals, among other things. Suffice to say, for the average ecommerce site, we generally recommend the following:

Page Views Per Visitor.
This provides and indication of how many pages each visitor looks at. It helps you to determine the value of your content as well as how engaging it may be. If the page view per visitor is low, this could indicate poor or off topic content. “Off topic” in the sense that visitors are not finding what they’re looking for.

Conversion Rates.
This indicates what percentage of visitors to specific content pages actually resulted in a purchase. Conversion rates help you to see what works and what does not (with regards to your online marketing promotions). Ensuring that you’re aware of your conversion rates, you should better be able to tweak content and call to actions (so as to improve sales).

Unique Visitors (and Visitors).
Unique visitors helps you to see new traffic that is comming to your site. While “Visitors” will tell you the total traffic. Why is the Unique Visitor statistic important? It helps you to see how your site is growing. If your “unique” statistic is low, this could indicate that your site is becomming stagnent. As such, this should cause one to reevaluate or tweak the appropriate marketing campaigns.
